Kirtan Mela – 14th to 18th February

“Where hearts dissolve in the sound of the Holy Name.”
Kīrtan Mela is the transcendental heartbeat of the entire Gaura Pūrṇimā festival. For five unforgettable days, Sri Mayapur Dham becomes a vast ocean of the mahā-mantra, where hundreds of devotees gather under one roof—chanting, dancing, crying, smiling, and losing themselves in the shelter of the Holy Name.

Kīrtan Mela is not just an event; it is a spiritual cleansing, a divine preparation of the heart to receive the mercy of Sri Caitanya Mahāprabhu. As Srila Prabhupāda taught:
"Chanting the holy name means associating with Krishna directly."

Every day, hour after hour, world-renowned kīrtaniyas, sannyasis, and senior devotees lead the devotees into deeper absorption, filling the entire campus with waves of devotion, surrender, and joy. The atmosphere becomes electrified—mridangas resound, karatals shimmer, and voices rise together as one family glorifying the Supreme Lord.

For devotees, Kīrtan Mela is like a full spiritual recharge—a nourishment of the soul that washes away fatigue, worries, and material burdens. It brings everyone into a unified mood of love, humility, gratitude, and remembrance, preparing all hearts to welcome the appearance of Lord Gauranga.
