A Grand Glimpse of Mayapur’s Festivals—All in One Sacred Month
One of the special blessings of the Gaura Pūrṇimā Festival is that devotees, pilgrims, and visitors can experience—in just a few weeks—the essence of the major festivals that take place throughout the year in Sri Mayapur Dhām. For many who cannot come to Mayapur regularly, Gaura Pūrṇimā becomes a rare chance to receive a condensed taste of the full Mayapur experience.

During this holy season, our beloved Sri Sri Radha-Madhava and Their Lordships are worshipped in magnificent festival moods, each revealing a unique flavor of devotion, beauty, and transcendental celebration.

Highlighted Festivals Featured During Gaura Pūrṇimā

Sri Sri Radha-Madhava, seated on a beautifully decorated swan boat, glide across the water as thousands of devotees chant and shower flowers. A divine vision of Vrindavan pastimes manifesting in Mayapur.

2. Śāntipura Festival & Boat Procession
A recreation of the historical festival arranged by Advaita Ācārya, where thousands honor prasadam and remember His role in invoking the advent of Mahāprabhu.

3. Jhulan (Swing) Festival

4. Elephant Procession (Gaja Vāhana Utsava)
A majestic festival where the Deities are carried on an elephant or elephant-style vahana, accompanied by conches, bells, drums, and vibrant traditional decorations.

5. Ganga Pūjā & Immersion Ceremony
Devotees gather on the sacred banks of Mother Ganga to offer arati, flowers, lamps, and prayers. Some also sponsor services for immersion of ashes or Ganga seva, seeking blessings for departed family members.

Every festival during Gaura Pūrṇimā is an opportunity to serve, witness, and feel the heartbeat of Sri Mayapur Dhām. Through these utsavas, devotees reconnect with the joyful, compassionate, and deeply loving mood of Sri Caitanya Mahāprabhu.

By contributing to these celebrations, donors directly help thousands of visitors experience the joy, beauty, and mercy of the holy Dhām—and carry those memories back to their homes and hearts.
