CONCEPT ARTISTS

The Temple of the Vedic Planetarium West Wing Exhibits is currently scouting for creative talent across the entire ISKCON community base. These are paid service positions, located in Mayapur. We are looking for a skilled concept artist.

The concept artist

• creates a visual representation of an idea for use in the TOVP E exhibits, movies, or animation before it is added into the final product.
• able to draw or paint characters, graphics, environments, weapons, vehicles, or anything that is called for on a given project.
• The quality of the illustration style can vary from quick and rough to detailed and refined. Concept artists are often asked to gather reference for the ideas they will be illustrating.

Educational Qualification:

• Creative candidates with artistic ability
• No strict educational requirements.

Professional Skills:

• Proficient in illustration and composition skills
• Hands-on experience in conceptualizing an original idea from storyboard to final design.
• Communication – concept artists use artwork to relay messages, evoke emotions, and convey concepts
• Knowledge and a good understanding of color therapy.
• Computer skills – concept artists use art software programs or Basic understanding of Photoshop (or similar program)

Specific Skills:

• Artistic skills – concept artists use drawing, illustration, modeling, and animation skills to create art
• Creative thinker – Attention to detail – concept artists create art that is used in many different visual mediums
• Interpersonal skills – to work in a highly collaborative environment with other artists and designers.
• Created detailed concepts from ideas generated by the Art team to final digital illustrations.
• Engaged actively with Creative Director to conceptualize his vision.

Experience:

Hands-on experience in conceptualizing an original idea from storyboard to final design.

Involvement:

Full Time/part time

Maintenance:

Residence in Mayapur is preferred but is negotiable.
