Line of festivals in August! Lots of Seva opportunities!
Krishna Janmastami is a very special festival in Mayapur dhama with around 5000 pilgrims taking part in the midnight Maha Abhisheka. Throughout the day, prasad is served to pilgrims at Annadan kitchen. Sri Sri Radha Madhava Asta Sakhis are offered a very grand new outfits and a spectacular Maha Abhisheka for 2 hours! Sumptous Rajbhog offerings with more than 1008 preparations are offered on the Janmastami eve.
Next day is a very special day- Nandotsava and the appearance day festival of Srila Prabhupada.
For both the festivals, feast prasad is served to all the community and visiting devotees, pilgrims, thanks to the kind donations of devotees worldwide.

The Lord accepts the foodstuffs offered with love by a devotee. The remnant of the offering becomes prasadam or the mercy of the Lord. On the day of Janmashtami, the bhoga consists of a specially prepared plate of at least 108 food items for the pleasure of the Lord.
On the day of Janmashtami, the Krishna Janma and Samskara Yajnas will be performed, including Samskara mantras for namakarana, annaprasana, vidyarambha, upanayana, and other Vedic rites are to be elaborately offered by the Mayapur Gurukula devotees.
