Day 1:
Glimpses from the first day of Kartik Navadvipa Mandala Parikrama 2017!
“Wandering in Navadvipa is the best of all opulences, the best of all religious principles, the best of all kinds of worship, the best of all perfections, the best of all glories, and the best of all oceans of sweetness.” – Sri Navadvipa Sataka by Srila Prabodhananda Sarasvati Thakura

Day 2:
“The secret of pure devotional service rests in they who take shelter of Lord Gaura’s sacred place, where my Lord Hari, His transcendental form filled with the nectar of splendid divine love, assumes the role of Sri Radha.” — Sri Navadvipa Sataka
On the second day of parikrama, we visited Jagannatha Mandir, Kola Vecha Sridhar’s house, Nrisimha Palli, Harihara Ksetra, and Suvarna Vihar, on the most auspicious islands of Simantadvipa and Godrumadvipa.

Day 3:
“If You desire the best of all kinds of devotional service: direct service to Sri Sri Radha-Krsna in beautiful Vrndavana, then go at once to Navadvipa and worship Lord Gaura, who is an ocean of mercy.” – Sri Navadvipa Dham Mahatmya
The glories of Navadvipa Dham are unlimited, and by performing parikrama and hearing the glories of the Dham from senior vaishnavas, devotees gain unlimited benefit. Despite some rain, the third day of Kartik Navadvipa Mandala parikrama was ecstatic! We visited Surabhi kunj, Hamsavahana, Puskar, Panchaveni, and the house of Bhaktivinoda Thakura.
All glories to Sri Navadvipa Dham!

Day 4:
“I bow down and offer my respects to they who know that within or without the material world there is nothing as sweet as Lord Gauranga’s forest.” – Sri Navadvipa Sataka
Every day of parikrama seems to be sweeter than the last, and the fourth day of parikrama was no exception. The morning began with an early morning visit to the house of Nandan Acharya, followed by a boat ride across the Ganga to Navadvipa town where we performed harinam through the streets and visited Parama Tala, the temple of Dhameshvara Mahaprabhu, and the bhajan kutir and samadhi of Srila Jagannatha Das Babaji. We then took darshan of Radha kunda and Shyama kunda, and visited Champahati and Ratu pur.
All glories to Sri Navadvipa Dham!

Day 6:
“Of the seven holy places giving salvation – Ayodhya, Mathura, Gaya, Kashi, Kanchi, Avanti and Dwaravati – Sri Mayapur is the most important place of pilgrimage. Sriman Mahaprabhu with His advent made His own Svetadvipa descend here, and four centuries after the disappearance of Sriman Mahaprabhu this place of pilgrimage will be superior to all other places of pilgrimage of the world. Living in this place removes all sins and offenses and helps pure devotion to grow.” — Jaiva Dharma, by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur
On the sixth and final day of Kartik Navadvipa Mandala Parikrama 2017, we visited Nidaya Ghat, Rukumpur, Panchavatra Shiva, and Belpukur. Many devotees shared realizations they had while on parikrama. On this day, we were especially blessed to have the association of His Holiness Jayapataka Swami Maharaja, who is the inspiration behind this Kartik Navadvipa Mandala Parikrama.
It was with some sadness that this year’s parikrama came to an end, but fortunately we are already planning for next year’s parikrama! Join us on November 6th, 2018 for Kartik Navadvipa Mandala Parikrama 2018!
