Lord Narasimhadeva has His own abode at one of the islands of Navadvipa- Godrumadvipa , known as Narasimha pally. The Lord came here at this beautiful hilly area on the banks of Mandikini river. It is sais that the Lord washed His hands stained with blood here and drank the sweet waters of Mandakini. All the demigods also took their residence here , knowns as Devapally & worshipped Sri Narasimhadeva. Bhakti Vinod Thakura has written prayers to this Narasimhadeva in his Navadvipa bhava Taranga. Throughout the day, devotees were crowding this small temple to have darshan of the Lord & offer abhisheka. Abhisheka started at Narasimhapally at 11 am. The villagers nearby brought many fruits, milk sweets and tender coconut for offering.
In Yogapitha the birthplace of Caitanya Mahaprabhu, Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur established the deity of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Deva for protection due to the attack of the dacoits. The deities were dressed in new outfits and adorned with beautiful garlands.
At Mayapur Chandrodaya Mandir, Sri Prahalad Narasimha Deva gave darshan with new outfits and completely covered in flower & tualsi garlands. After darshan arati He was offered Bhoga and puja plates throughout the afternoon. A small gift shop was set up in the temple for visitors to facilitate their offerings to the Lord. Narahari Nama kirtan continued on the second day with senior leaders like HH Bhakti Purusottam Swami, HH Bhakti Vikas Swami singing Harinam. Salil Vihara of Sri Lakshmi Narasimhadeva was celebrated where the Lord was seated in a beautiful lotus pond decorated with flowers and devotees offered flowers chanting the 1008 names of Sri Narasimhadeva.
we had visited mayapur iskcon for attending the nrisimha chaturdashi festival,it was marvelous but the autority should keep in mind that iskcon belongs to all people around the world and few foreigners had mis behaved with us ,it was a bit embarassing .but still it was a great experience to participate in NRISIMHADEVS adivas,avishek and narahari nam-kirtan,jai nara hari,jai prladh maharaj,jai praphupada
