By the mercy of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu and His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada, Mayapur Local Preaching received another invitation for ‘kirtan mela’ program at Krishnanagar, Radha Nagar Natun Baroary on 02.06.2014, just after Shaktinagar Kirtan Mela on 28.05.14. They where to have 3 days of continuous programs, ISKCON was the first to inaugurate with auspicious Harinam Sankirtan. Just for the occasion, Baroary committee had setup a very nice pandal with a high stage. They greeted the devotees with due honor. There were 12 Mayapur devotees who participated the program actively.
The program started at 6:45pm with uludhvani, mangalacaran, and classical harinam kirtan by His Grace Vrajanathananda Das Brahamacari. Followed by the other singers, namely His Grace Varaja Gopinath Prabhu, His Grace Baliraj Prabhu, His Grace Sundar Gopal Prabhu and finally singing & dancing by His Grace Mathuresh Prabhu. Altogether the ‘Kirtan Mela’ went on for 2 hours. Over 150 people gathered 0n that pandal. By the Second phase of the program, His Grace Radha Govinda Prabhu read from Srimad Bhagavatam 3.25.25 for one hour, where the importance of ‘association of sadhus’ was vividly described by the Lord Kapila Dev to his mother Devahuti, with purport by His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada. We also had Srila Prabhupada’s book distribution by His Grace Lokobandhu Nrisimha Prabhu from Russia.
At the end of the program prasadam fruit was distributed for all the public assembled, and the Mayapur devotees prasadam was taken care at, one of our Bhakti Vriksha members, Srimati Radha Rani mataji’s house. Overall the program ended successfully.
