Giving You a Choice

During a July 7, 1975 television interview, a woman reporter challenged Srila Prabhupada by saying, “And if women were subordinate to men, it would solve all of our problems?”

Srila Prabhupada responded confidently based upon his deeply realized Vedic understanding, “Yes. Man wants that woman should be subordinate, faithful to him. Then he is ready to take charge. The man’s mentality, woman’s mentality different. So if the woman agrees to remain faithful and subordinate to man, then the family life will be peaceful.”

Last year the Mayapur Institute launched the Bhakti-pravesa Course to address and serve the needs of ISKCON’s Vaisnavis according to the understandings Srila Prabhupada so lovingly imparted to us. Inspired by very positive feedback, we have gone deeper and identified further needs of our talented Vaisnavi community.

We added new components to this year’s Bhakti-pravesa Course that blend sastric understanding and practical training in diverse areas giving us  confidence that our students will get the support and inspiration required to identify the seva for which they are best suited while simultaneously deeply imbibing the foundational principles of spiritual life.

The Bhakti-pravesa ( Nov 26 – Mar 5 ) will include  :

  • Vaishnava etiquette
  • Deity worship
  • Vaishnava bhajans
  • Devotional decorative arts
  • Disciples course
  • Book distribution
  • Preacher Training
  • Vaishnava family relationships
