W e started the new season with showers of blessings from Sri Sri Radha Madhava and Srila Prabhupada. We have our own facility to conduct the gatherings, a very beautiful, traditional, Bengali style Hut on the premises of Srila Prabhupada Ahrama.
We also have two prominent leaders for whom we carried out two investiture ceremonies; The Scout and The Patrol Leader Promise. Druva das (16 yrs. old), the leader of the “Nrisimha Patrol” and Madhumangal das (16 yrs. old), the leader of the “Garuda Patrol” worked hard last year and through the summer vacation to pass the examinations to reach the first rank of tenderfoot. Now they are taking a very active role in the organization and leadership of the yearly program planning and implementing. Due to the number of boys in the program, we are in the process of forming a new patrol. We closed the ceremonies with a pizza party feast cooked in the new brick, firewood oven by Mother Raseswari , the administrator for Sri Mayapur International School, and a crew of volunteer parents,
The”Mayapur Explorers” is a program for devotee boys ages 11 to 18 under the Youth Committee of the Mayapur Community Sevaks (MCS).
