T oday is the auspicious disappearance day of Srila Bhūgarbha Goswami, a disciple of Gadadhar Paṇḍita Gosāñi, was always engaged in topics regarding Lord Caitanya, knowing nothing else.He is therefore considered to be Gadadhara’s branch. He along with his intimate friend Lokanatha Goswami located lost sacred places in Vrindavan by the order of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. To avoid material distractions, He would perform his worship to Krishna in a cave. Because of this, he received the name Bhugarabha (bhu means “earth,” garbha means “cave” or “hidden place”). He is formerly known as Prema-mañjarī. He also accompanied Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī with other acharyas, Śrī Jīva Gosvāmī, Śrī Yādava Ācārya and Govinda Gosvāmī.

‘I offer my reverence to the illustrious Bhugarbha Prabhu, who is said to have been born from the bowels of the earth. He bestows love of Krishna; he takes pleasure in the service of Govinda Deva, is compassionate, simple, and always joyful.’
