Bhakti Tirtha Swami Vyasapuja

T oday is the auspicious appearance of Bhakti Tirtha Swami.

Today is the appearance day of Bhakti Tirtha Swami. We always make a special flower seat and cake for Maharaj’s Vyasa Puja. He was a special devotee and he was very merciful and he always tried to enthuse the devotees.He gave them very nice instructions. I went to see him when he was leaving the world.He was taking the care ride to the temple.He could have easily broken his bones. I chastised them, Why do you have come down in the car ride its so dangerous. He was so eager to see the deities!!

When Maharaj was leaving the planet he told me three things, “Please go to West Africa and preach. Please attend some big festival in Gita Nagari.To please give instructions to any of my disciples. If they want it.”

So far I’ve been able to three things. I have gone to West Africa many times and attended the Samadhi opening of Maharaj at Gita Nagari and I try to help any of the disciples of Bhakti Tirtha Swami.

Today we can all be blessed that such a vaishnava was amidst us. When Srila Prabhupada instructed him to go behind the iron curtain and preach, he asked all the senior sanyasis , GBCs to bless. We said when Srila Prabhupada you are there, your blessing would be enough. But Srila Prabhupada said ,”He is doing a very dangerous service,under the curtain in soviet union. So you should all bless him and your prayers will be with him.”
