Dear devotees & friends,

For the pleasure of their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Madhava, Pancatattva, Lord Nrisimhadev and Srila Prabhupada Mayapur Bhakti Vriksha broadcasting happy Sankirtan news to all. In occasion of ISKCON 50 years Mayapur Bhakti Vriksha arranged a grand Harinam Sankirtan in the town of Krishnanagar on 14th September, 2016. Krishnanagar is the town in which during British reign, Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura worked as District Magistrate. It started from Krishnanagar Karbala Math at 4:30 pm and went through Municipality More, Post Office More, Sadar Hospital More and ended at Rabindra bhavan. In that colorful procession there were three different Harinam parties with many flag & festoons, Abhiram pratiks etc. and there was a very beautifully decorated chariot where Sri Sri Gour Nitai and Srila Prabhupada were present and the devotees were pulling them forward by their own hands, that made the procession more attractive and beautiful. Moreover, there was 100 Sankirtan devotees who were dancing in the main kirtan party like mad elephants, to which all people became attracted. Including Mayapur Bhakti Vriksha, Namhatta, Jagrata Chatra Samaj and Krishnanagar local people etc. more than 1500 devotees participated in that procession. Devotees from many countries took part in it, who came from Mayapur.

People felt amazing seeing such huge Harinam Sankritan first time in the history of Krishnanagar. Many devotees expressed their gratitude saying, ‘it was so nice, so pleasing; I never have seen such a huge Nagar Sankirtan before in Krishnanagar city’. Someone told that, such a huge and lengthy procession, it seems be that the half of Krishnanagar have been covered by procession itself.
Apart from Harinam Sankirtan there was also packet prasadam distribution, MBV (Mayapur Bhakti Vriksha) leaflets and Srila Prabhupad’s books distribution in that procession party. All the participants enjoyed so much by Chanting and dancing in ecstacy. H.H. Bhakti Purusottam Swami Maharaj and H.G. Snakarshan Nitai Pr. inagurated the event by offering coconut-fire in front of Srila Prabhupada’s chariot. Besides that Mayapur Manager personels like H.G. Bhakta janapriya Pr., H.G. Nitai Padakamala Pr. and H.G. Amritesh Nitai Pr. also were present in that procession. At the end of procession delicious mahaprasadam from Mayapur were distributed to all the participants and they went back home happily. The whole program has been handled successfully under the proper guidance of Mayapur Bhakti Vriksha Coordinator H.G. Mathuresh Prabhu.
