Gita Mela Program in Sri Mayapur

HH Jayapataka Swami Maharaja wants us to give attention to the guests,by giving them association. He doesn’t like it when the guests just come to the temple and don’t have any contact with the devotees. Gita Mela didn’t only show the guests the importance of the Bhagavad Gita as it is, but also gave opportunity for us to please His Holiness by giving full attention to the ISKCON Mayapur guests during 15 days, at least 10 hours everyday. This program happened from 20th December to 4th January, when ISKCON Mayapur had thousands of guests daily.

We had this big ‘fair’ of knowledge,so when the guests came  inside the Gita Mela Campus they could see the big dioramas which exposed the Bhagavad Gita’s main teachings, they could also attend the question and answer session, visit the face drawing stand, buying the books in the store, get to know our BBT, watch a video presentation about ISKCON around the world, japa session, kids games and much more.

From 11 am to 8:30 pm, we had kirtan on the stage and during the evening time we had drama, Bhagavad Gita quiz and dance presentation.

On the last day of the program we had 25 devotees from different countries, and also HG Pankajangri prabhu on the stage.

Narahari prabhu from Russia, Giri Govardhan prabhu from Venezuela led an amazing kirtan on the stage, giving so much bliss to the devotees and guests. Sri Hari Nama ki jay!

All glories to the devotees that actively participated in this program like Gaura Dham prabhu,  Ananda Vardhana prabhu, Caitanya Gosai das, Sankarshan prabhu and family, Sadhana Siddhi prabhu, Sridhar das (our mrdanga player), Haridas das,  Nityananda das and Prema dasi, Sridam prabhu and family, Anil Sharma, Uttama dasi, Elena Malovitsa, Agata, Syama Natarani, Radha dasi, Chinese devotees leaded by Yogini dd, African devotees leaded by Hanuman prabhu and Russian group lead by Narahari das.

All glories to their service because  they are always creating blissful programs for engaging the devotees in spreading Lord Krsna’s glories.
