Sri Mayapur visits Ramkeli Mela

On May 15th, and 16th a group of ISKCON Mayapur devotees visited Sri Ramkeli. Ramkeli is a lilasthan of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, and was also the headquarters of Srila Rupa and Sanatana Gowami before entering into renounced life.

The devotees had beautiful nagar San-Kirtan through-out the mela and into the Pandal, where various bhajans, lectures, kirtans, and dramas were performed. The West Bengal tourism minster, Shri Krishnendu Narayan Chowdhury, was present, and gave a speech glorifying ISKCON. The minister also gave his word that he would help to establish a temple in Ramkeli, along with promoting Sri Mayapur.

The following day everyone gathered for nagar San-Kirtan through-out the streets of Malda. In the evening there was a program for the Malda congregation devotees. The tourism minister, Shri Krishnendu Narayan Chowdhury, was also present in the evening program.
