NMP Day 6 & Day 7

 Day 6

Today we started at Billa Pushkar, a place of Lord Shiva. This was definitely the most amazing tree I have ever seen yet on this planet. Here we heard how hearing is such an essential thing. HH Mahavishnu Swami told how one day he was dreaming, in the dream there was a banging, he awoke and caught a thief in the act, and managed prevent the theft. Hearing is also said to be better than reading.

People who are comfortable won’t hear or pray properly. Good hearing is when the attention between the speaker and listener is fixed on each other. Worship in the mind is also acceptable to the Lord. Bhakti Dhira Damodar Maharaj spoke of how a very poor man was cooking for the Lord, in his mind, and one day he was testing the heat of the mind cooked sweet rice, and he burnt his finger. This is how authentic mind worship can be. Maharaj also spoke a pastime of Lord Jagganatha about how the Lord is waiting for our heart.

This is the island of Rudradvip where the process of worship is friendship, which is a very high state. We are Sadhana Bhakta’s . Once Lord Shiva was also know to tell Bhakti Vinod Thakur to preach. Bhakti Nityananda Maharaj also mentioned how we should all be thankful to Jagat Guru Srila Prabhupad for revealing the dham to us all.

HH Kavichandra swami also said how Lord Shiva loves to chant the name of Gauranga, and often he dances in great ecstasy. Lord Shiva also said Lord Gauranga will give Krishna prem to whoever will take it.  And he also said that Maya in Mayapur is not Maha Maya.  It is Mercy. We also heard how Lord Nityananda took Srila Jiva Goswami on Navadvip Mandal Parikram.

Day 7

Today was the last glorious ecstatic day of the parikram. Usually we are not aware of the benefits of doing sacrifices for our spiritual growth, and this is spiritual ignorance and therefore good for us. This morning at 04h55 we reached the Rajapur Jagganatha temple by bus, and many devotees were already there meditating and praying. We then had Tulasi Puja.

We then walked to the Sita Ram Laksman Hanuman temple, which is the house of Murari Gupta, who is Hanuman. This is such a nice transcendental peaceful place, besides the beautiful Deities. It has huge trees, including flowers at the back and Jack Fruit in front etc. Here we heard that Lord Caitanya acts his pastimes through his devotees. Once Murari Gupata was thinking it is better to end his life, (with a Sickle) before Lord Gauranga leaves the world, as the pain of separation will have been too much for him. So Lord visited him and asked Murari are you my servant, Murari said yes. Then go bring the sickle. Once Lord Caitanya asked Murari to worship Lord Krishna. So all night he tried to do this. But he could not, so the next day he told Lord Gauranga he could not as he was fully dedicated to Lord Ramachandra. Lord Gauranga was very happy with this and said He was the perfect servant. This is proof that the every great devotee is not necessarily in Gopi Bhav, we cannot therefore insist in propagating this as the only reality. And this shows Lord Gauranga’s magnanimous nature. Even though Hanuman was so dedicated to Lord Ramachandra, even in Gaura Lila, but he could serve Lord Gauranga. Murari Gupta was also a doctor, and he also gave medical treatment to Lord Caitanya.

We then went to our cousins at the Caitanya Math, where there are the following special interests for us.

  • Samadhi & Bhajan Kutir’s of Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur,
  • Sri Sri Gandarvika Giridhari installed by Thakur.
  • Other Acharya Deities
  • Shyama Kund, Radhakund and Govardhan hill.
  • Samadhi of Srila Gaura Kisore Das Babaji Maharaj.

Here Rajendranadan Prabhu spoke of how Lord Gauranga acted in a play, and played various roles in Radha Bhav. This mesmerizing play of the whole Pancha Tatwa took place at the house of Chandrashekar Acharya’s Prabhu’s house.

HG Sikimahiti Prabhu and HH Prabodananda Saraswati Swami spoke of the revolutionary nature of Srila BhaktiSidhhanta Saraswati Thakur, and how he introduced modern Yukta Vairagya. He used a pin stripe suite and a car to go to Sri Radhakund.

The Russian and international groups ended our parikrams together at our budding Vaisnava City at ISKCON Mayapur. We experienced feelings of loving brother/sister-hood, inbetween the kirtans. Strangers were hugging each other, and this was not some material sentiment as we are all connected in a real way, through our Founder Acharya Jagat Guru Srila AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupad ki Jay. And we are grateful for all his current empowered generals as well. Personally I am aware I thankfully completed this pilgrimage by Vaisnava Kripa only.

We are humbly very grateful for this service of writing these reports. Trying to be your servant, Gauranga Das
