Hare Krishna! Sorry for being late. The South Indian brahmana came to give me oil and ghee massage so they said, “You health takes priority.” We supposed to start at 5.30pm but it took longer, now is 6:30pm so I am very sorry for being late. That is what happened.

He recommends that anyone who is sick take this ghee and hot rice massage. He said if I do this hot massage every day then by Vyasa-puja I will be able to walk. (Audience applauds.)

How many speak English? How many want repetition?

In the Caitanya Mangala there is history of how before the appearance of Lord Caitanya that Narada Muni, he could see that Kali yuga was going come very soon.

So he thought he will ask Krishna what was the solution so he went to Dwaraka. That time Krishna was staying at the house of Satyabhama and he had to inform Rukmini that He was going to her palace. So she had cleaned the palace with all her maidservants and she got the kids dressed up. She got the pandits there to chant Vedic mantras. She had filled water pots and banana leaves also trees of sugar cane. She did everything she could to make an auspicious welcome to Lord Krishna.

When Krishna came He was given a real good welcome. She sent the children to embrace their father. Then she took Him inside to the inner quarters. She had a special swing for Him, for Krishna. So she began to do abhishek, puja for Lord Krishna bathing His lotus feet. Then she started to cry. Krishna was amazed that why somebody is greeting Him and at the same time crying. So then He asked her, “Why are you crying? Is it that some servant argued with you today? Children did not listen to you? What is the reason why you are crying?”

She looked at Him and said, “You don’t really know why I am crying do You? Radharani knows, She knows why I am crying!” She said, “I am crying because You came to my house but one day You will leave. If You promise You will never leave my house then I won’t cry.”

“No, no I am not going to leave you, I am not going to make you cry.” Like this He tried to pacify her. He brought her next to Him and wiped the tears from her eyes. Meanwhile Narada Muni came to the window, “Gurudev, Gurudev.” He was saved from the embarrassing situation with Rukmini devi.

So along with Rukmini they bathed the feet of Narada Muni. They had a special Guru asana and they sat him on the Guru asana. Krishna saw that Narada Muni was disturbed so He was wondering, “How is it that today My wife is crying, my Gurudev is disturbed. He is always peaceful.” So He asked Narada Muni, “Why are you disturbed?” So Narada said, “I can see in the world that the symptoms of Kali yuga going to start, just like when the sun is going to set it begins to get twilight. So like that we can see that people are becoming more and more materialistic. They are becoming more and more attached to the opposite sex.

Like this the symptoms of Kali yuga are beginning. So that means Your presence is fading off. Soon You will leave this world. Then Kali yuga will begin. So I want to know what is Your solution for the conditioned souls. How will they get delivered Kali yuga? I am very concerned about the Kali yuga souls!”

Then Lord Krishna said, “Rukmini said the Radharani knows what she is feeling and you are concern about the deliverance of the fallen souls of Kali yuga. So I will come again in Kali yuga. I will take the mood and the color of Radharani.”

Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga!

So He predicted that He would come again as Gauranga in Kali yuga. He told Narada Muni to tell all the Devas to incarnate in Bengal. In this way we will flood the world with harinam sankirtan. So maybe some of you are extra terrestrials who came down to join the sankirtan movement of Lord Caitanya from some higher planet. I don’t expect you to admit it! Maybe you don’t even know but some devotees as soon as they came into contact with the sankirtan movement they joined up. This is a sign that in their previous life they had a connection.

So like this Narada Muni went to the different planets to invite the people to come down to join Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s sankirtan movement. Then he went to Jagannath, Baladeva and Subadra and they advised him to go to Brahmaloka and from Brahmaloka Lord Brahma came as Haridas Thakur. Narada went to Svetadwip and Goloka Vrindavan and there he saw Lord Caitanya being bathed by the queens of Dwaraka and the gopis of Vrindavan.

So then he paid his obeisances and Lord Caitanya was surprised why Narada Muni was coming from the planet of the four-headed Brahma - catur mukhi Brahmaloka. So he took him aside and asked him, “What’s up?” He said, “I am concerned that You are leaving the planet as Krishna and Kali yuga will begin.” So he asked Lord Caitanya what He would do to save the people of Kali yuga.

Lord Caitanya told all the gopis and Radharani that, “I am going to go into the four-headed brahmanda and spread love of Godhead everywhere. Who of you are coming with Me?” So everybody wanted to come. So which of you are from there? You are transcendental souls.

Couple of days ago we had Bhakti Vrajendranandan Swami here and we heard from him that he got his first book in Krishna consciousness from your lotus hands. (Subhag Swami Maharaj.)

I was in the room when his mother came to take you. She was rolling on the ground and crying, “I want my son back.” Prabhupada said, “We are not keeping him. He is free to go.” She said, “Really! Really! Wow.” “Yes he is free to go. You want to go?” Srila Prabhupada knew the heart of this devotee, his disciple. He said, “No I want to stay with you, Srila Prabhupada.” So his mother, she became favorable now. So you have any message for the assembled devotees?

Subhaga Swami: In the presence of Maharaj, I don’t know what I can speak. Maharaj speak so nicely about Caitanya lila and Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s pasive lila and also I am happy to see the passive pastime places in all of Bengal. So I feel fortunate, this very wonderful service, now of course they asked me to become trustee. He knows better. A few days ago I was in Mumbai and I went to see Maharaj told me, “How come you are here? When are you going to Mayapur?”

I said, “I am coming as soon as possible”. I heard you are leaving on the 20th so I tried as soon as possible and here I am to have your association and listen to Caitanya Lila! This is nectar. Whatever Maharaj does in Iskcon, I have heard many, not like anybody else. That I can tell nicely. Here was Caitanya Mahprabhu’s nitya lila, maybe that is why Prabhupada asked him to take this responsibility of developing Mayapur into a city and many other responsibilities. We are fortunate that Guru Maharaj asked me to be here and I am fortunate that Maharaj sometimes asks me to do this or that.

When Maharaj speaks it seems much sweeter, the pastimes, than anybody that I know and that is why maybe by the arrangement of providence Maharaj had Santipur Dham festival and Gaura Purnima festival, this Navadwip Mandal parikrama and also so many other of the Lord’s pastime places. Anybody who serves prasad of takes prasad, either or, definitely he will get love for Krishna. This is promised by Caitanya Mahaprabhu. From the very beginning I am going with Maharaj on Navadwip mandal parikrama. He started this now he says, “Why?”

Gauranga! Gauranga! Nityananda! Adwaita Gosai! Sitanath!

Jayapataka Swami: So a couple of days ago the son of the Santipur Goswami came and invited everyone to come to the Santipur festival. So we are expecting everyone to attend.

So let me tell you end of this lila. Lord Caitanya told them, “I am going to preach all over India but incase there are some people who runaway to the western countries then I will send my senapati bhakta and he will go and deliver all those people.” Srila Prabhupada ki, Jai! So it seems that Srila Prabhupada is the senapati bhakta. He went and delivered people from all the continents.

Then He told Narada Muni that he too has to participate in these pastimes. “You also have to take birth.” So he took appearance as whom? Srivas Thakur. And He told him, “I want you to invite Balaram. He must also come. So Balaram is known as whom?

Nitai. Nitai. Nitai. Gaura. Gaura. Gaura.

If you go to Nityananda’s birthplace in Ekachakra, you have to say Nitai-gaura! So if you say Gaura-nitai, they get very offended. Nitai first. By Nitai’s mercy you get Gaura’s mercy.

Can the western ladies do that? (Women ululate.)

International ululating!! (Laughter.) In the English dictionary it is written as ululation.

Sometimes when we do a program for Rama-Navami in Bangladesh we have 60 000 people. 30 000 are women. When they all ululate at the same time sounds out of this world. It is like the blowing of conch shell. Devis from the heavenly planets, they ululate. If you can’t do that you can always chant Haribol. (Tumultuous shouts of Haribol by the crowd and Maharaj.)

This is sound vibration can penetrate the three worlds. (More shouts of Haribol!!!) Ecstasy Maharaj!

Subhaga Swami: Everybody is in ecstasy.

Jayapataka Swami: Then Narada Muni went to see the transcendental form of Lord Balaram. He paid his obeisances. Then he invited him to come. He told him Lord Caitanya was coming. So Lord Balaram decided to come in Ekacakra and he was associated with the cowherd boys from Vrindavan.

So like this Narada Muni went around and he got everybody all geared up to come down for the Caitanya pastimes. Some came before and some came after. Sri Adwaita Gosai, Srivasa Thakur and Lord Nityananda the came before. Maharaj is reminding us that Pundarik Vidyanidhi he came before, the guru of Gadadhara. He was Vrsabhanu Maharaj in Krishna lila and he came as Pundarik Vidyanidhi in Caitanya lila. He is in the third branch of Lord Caitanya’s tree. Iskcon has taken over the worship of his birthplace - Pundarik Dham.

How many of you have been to Pundarik Dhama? So many! If you haven’t gone it is a good place to go. We took the safari there last year. There are a lot of holy places in Bangladesh. You have to read Caitanya lila - Adwaita’s birthplace, Srivas Thakur’s and Murari Gupta, Narottama das Thakur, Saci matta and Jagannath Misra, their forefathers, Lokanath Goswami, Haridas Thakur, Rupa and Sanatan, Mukunda Vasudev. It you get a chance you can go and visit all these holy places.

We have about twenty-three Iskcon branches now and it is increasing day by day. Some of these places are dedicated to the associates of the Lord. Some appeared in east Bengal some in west Bengal some in Orissa. They all appeared in different places to participate in Lord Caitanya’s pastimes. By appearing in these different places there were delivering the local people by Lord Caitanya’s mercy.

The four corners of Gaura-mandala bhumi, Pundarik Vidhyanidhi in the southeast, north and eastern side we have Saci matta, western northern side we have Mandara Hills and Kanaynatsala and in the south east side you have Remuna - Ksira-cora Gopinath. Ksira-cora Gopinath and Ksira setra overlaps with Gaura Mandal.

Whoever understand that this Gaura Mandal is actually the spiritual realm-cintamini dham they are residents of Vrindavan.

Haribol! Haribol! Haribol!

So we actually are gone overtime. In Vrindavan the kirtan singers are dedicating their kirtan to my health so I am very grateful to them.

Question: Guru Maharaj please instruct me what I have to do to always stay in the association of Sri Gauranga’s devotees, your servant, Giridhari Shyam das.

Jayapataka Swami: You should try avoiding any offenses to the Vaisnavas and always look for their association. If we look for the faults we see Vaisnavas as mundane people. We should not look for faults.

The day after the Vyasa-puja or the day after the Vyasa-puja we will have initiation. Those who can’t stay until the Vyasa-puja from foreign countries, if there is some of them we shall try to arrange an initiation before I go now. You should go to room 105.

Now I am supposed to meet some groups of devotees, a hundred people.
