Busy Courtyard

If you would like to meet and have a talk with as much visiting devotees as possible, the best place is to be there in the temple courtyard after darshan arati. During the festival period, you can find everything here: from Pavitras to pancakes, books to bracelets, devotional paraphernalia and the list goes on. Devotees visiting from different countries usually assemble here and discuss out the plan for the day. Darshan Arati Kirtans are special with devotees dancing in ecstasy. With festival at the door step, information boards are packed. Departments are also designing new attractive banners and boards.

As the festival is getting closer, we can see many happy faces blissfully walking in Mayapur. Bhaktin Camila from Chile, visiting Mayapur for the first time in her life was happy to share her experiences with us. In an interview to mayapur.com ,she expressed that, “When I took the darshan of Pancha-Tattva on Nityananda Trayodasi day, my hair was standing on its end.It was a like a dream coming true for us. Everything is amazing here in Mayapur”.

Today’s Srimad Bhagavatham class is given by Bhakti Dhira Damodara Swami. Audio file is uploaded. Transcription of the lecture will be posted soon. ### 11 Feb 2009 From tomorrow (12 Feb) onwards, annual GBC meetings will begin in Sri dham Mayapur. GBC meetings will continue until 23rd of February. Many Sanyasis and GBC’s have arrived in Mayapur. Though Gaura Purnima festival will be officially will be inaugurated on 24th February, many devotees plan their arrival much ahead of the festival to take full advantage of the great opportunity to have association of senior members of ISKCON and get to hear the special lectures.

Today’s Srimad Bhagavatham class was given by HH Vedavyasa Priya Swami. Maharaja spoke on the verse from the third canto of Srimad Bhagavatham (SBG 3.23.51) where Devahuti requests her husband Kardama Muni to give her fearlessness. ISKCON Mayapur is happy to welcome and assist them in setting up the facilities needed so that the mercy of Pancha-Tattva can reach everyone without delay. Also these devotees are kind enough to provide hands on training to the interested Mayapur devotees on digital video production. The idea is that the trained devotees will continue the work of mayapur.tv to broadcast the glories of Sri Mayapur. [Read More… “The Mercy of Pancha-Tattva Within Everyone’s Reach”](/node/1021) ### 10th Feb 2009 We are happy to welcome HH Radhanath Swami, HH Gopala Krishna Goswami, HH Vedavyasa Priya Swami, HH Bhanu swami, HH Ramai Swami, HH Bhakti Caitanya Swami, HG Ravindra Swarupa Prabhu and some of the deputy GBC members in Mayapur. On his way to Sri Mayapur, HH Radhanath Swami visited Sri Jagannatha temple in Rajapur, where we had an ecstatic Jagannath Maha Prasadam festival. This festival was organized to plead to the all merciful Lord Sri Jagannatha, to intervene and accelerate the speedy recovery of HH Jayapataka Swami. HH Radhanath Swami spoke on Maharaja’s eagerness to be back in preaching field and how Maharaja traveled all the way to Pune despite his physical condition. HH Bhanu Swami, HH Umapati Swami and HH Bhakti Purusottama Swami were also present. This is the video of happenings in Rajapur.

We will be posting the happenings in Sridham Mayapur in a daily basis beginning from today. Pictures, interviews, videos, stories and official announcements will make you feel that you are in Sridhama Mayapur, though physically you may be miles far away. Being Purnima, Sri Radha- Madhava is dressed in shining white outfits. From today onwards, Sanyasis, GBC’s and Srila Prabhupada disciples will give the morning Srimad Bhagavatam Classes.

Today is also Srila Narottama dasa Thakura’s appearance day. HG Jagajivan prabhu gave the class on glories of Srila Narottama Dasa Thakura. You can listen live to these classes from Sri Radha-Madhava temple at 07:45am (IST) here. We will try our best to upload the audio files of lectures before noon on the same day. Ananda Tirtha Prabhu, who has been doing for all these years the great service of transcribing GBC lectures, is occupied with some other service commitments. Still, he has given some hopes that transcriptions will continue this year too.
