24 Hour Kirtan announcement

The Panca Tattva Abhiseka of the Holy Name calls upon all pure devotee kirtana singers from around the world to attend the Fifth Annual hari-nama-sankirtana festival commemorating the installation of Their Lordships Sri Sri Panca Tattva!

Along with the special maha-abhiseka of the large Panca Tattva Deities this year, we will also hold 72 hours of nonstop maha-hari-nama-sankirtana for the divine pleasure of Sri Sri Panca Tattva and the inspiration of the worldwide community of devotees.

The opening ceremony (Adhivas) is on the 23rd evening, and the kirtan will run from 6:00am on the 24th till 6:00am on the 27th.

Sri Sri Panca Tattva have specifically appeared in this world to distribute krsna-prema via the process of the yuga-dharma, hari-nama-sankirtana. The maha-abhiseka of their Lordships with all appropriate rituals is certainly a most inspiring attraction for the devotees. Still, we should remember that in this Age of Kali the main process of bhakti-yoga is the congregational chanting of the Holy Name. Our main objective is to gain Their Lordships’ favourable glances upon our performances of nama-sankirtana for the enrichment of Srila Prabhupada’s great preaching mission. Please come forward — help perform the yuga-dharma and get the special mercy and blessings of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu, the yuga-avatara!

Confirming the great importance of performing nama-sankirtana

“The members of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness should go to India during the birthday ceremony of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu at Mayapura and perform sankirtana congregationally. This will attract the attention of all the important personalities in India , just as the beauty, bodily lustre and sankirtana performance by the associates of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu attracted the attention of Maharaja Prataparudra.” (C.C.Madhya 11.96 p.)*

“Recently, when we established a large Krishna-Balarama temple in Vrindavan, we were obliged to have Vedic ceremonies enacted by brahmanas because the inhabitants of Vrindavan, especially the smarta-brahmanas, would not accept Europeans and Americans as bona fide brahmanas. Thus we had to engage brahmanas to perform costly yajnas. In spite of these yajnas, the members of our Society performed sankirtana loudly with mrdangas, and I considered the sankirtana more important than the Vedic ritualistic ceremonies. Both the ceremonies and the sankirtana were going on simultaneously.” (Bhag. 6.3.25 p.)

“My dear King, although Kali-yuga is full of faults, there is still one good quality about this age. It is that simply by loudly chanting the Hare Krsna maha-mantra, one can become free from material bondage and be promoted to the transcendental kingdom.” (Bhag 12.3.51)

As we will be doing a nonstop maha-mantra yajna for three days, we humbly request all devotees to fully participate throughout the day and night.

Please arrange your yatra parties into kirtana groups with rotating kirtana leaders and in this way share the nectar of the Holy Name with each other and be happy.

Become increasingly empowered to propagate the sankirtana movement all over the world by vigorously performing sankirtana of the Holy Name in Lord Caitanya’s dhama where one gets a thousand times the benefit. Harer-namaiva kevalam!
