Lord Jagannatha's Maha Prasadam Festival - A full day Event

“Lord Jagannath is famous for His Mahaprasadam. This is the way to worship Him by distributing His Mahaprasadam” - Srila Jananivasa Prabhu.

May Lord Jagannath kindly intervene if He so desires to accelerate and complete the recovery of Srila Jayapataka Maharaja so that he can again render services to Srila Prabhupada which Maharaja said are still pending. Let us approach the Lord together. Let us try to serve Him by immersing ourselves in Jagannath katha, cooking bhoga, worshipping, praying, offering flowers and tumultuously singing His holy names in a Maha Harinam. Let us profusely distribute His Mahaprasadam.

On hearing of this proposed program Srila Jayapataka Maharaja remarked “If Lord Jagannath wants, He can do anything.”

The arrangement is to distribute full plate Jagannath Mahaprasadam feast to an expected massive turnout of more than a 1000(thousand) dhamvasis. Be there. Sing, dance and serve. Get flooded by the waters from the dam of Lord Jagannath’s mercy. You know, you want it.

Where: Sri Jagannatha Mandir, Rajapur, Sri Mayapur dham
When: 9 Feb 2009, Purnima, Monday (a date picked by Pankhajanghri Prabhu)

Buses will ply to transport devotees to Jagannath Mandir and back.

There is also a special and rare opportunity for all of you. If you are inspired to cook a plate of bhoga for Lord Jagannath, we have arrangements at Jagannath Mandir. Alternatively, you can cook at home and bring a plate for Lord Jagannath.

Special thanks to Bhadra Caru Prabhu, Naru Gopal Prabhu, Sankarsan Nitai Prabhu, Nitai Prasad Prabhu, Sastra Prabhu, Vidvan Gauranga Prabhu and many others who have inspired and supported this program.
