Students of Bhakti Vedanta National School put up a sparkling three hours cultural show on the occasion of their sixth anniversary day. Tiny tots in all their sweetness presented a “rainbow welcome” to the audience, while the primary grade students led us into the wonders of nature and science. The highlight of the evening was “Ramayana” which was well anchored and directed. Over 100 students totally involved in the role they were playing, took us back to the age of Ramayana.
Mr.Shahjahan Ali, Principal of Krishnanagar College, appreciated the dedication of the teachers and management in building the character of the students to become better citizens in the future.
School has gained a wide reputation in being the only school of its kind in the region to provide quality English education at affordable fee to reach out to the economically weaker sections of the society. H.H. Bhakti Purusottama Swami, chairman of the school expressed his thanks to the principal, Padma Radhika mataji and School secretary, H.G. Radhakanta Prabhu for efficiently managing the school. H.H. Nrsimha Maharaj, H.G. Srutidharma prabhu, Dr.Paritosh Roy and Dr.Ramchakraborty (patron member) graced the occasion. School management is grateful to the congregation devotees of Bhakti Vedanta Manor, U.K. for their valued support to the school. Students received their certificates of merit for outstanding performance in various interschool competitions and National level skill tests.
“It is necessary for the leaders of the Krsna consciousness movement to start educational institutions in different parts of the world to train children, starting at the age of five years. Thus such children will not become hippies or spoiled children of society; rather, they can all become devotees of the Lord. The face of the world will then change automatically.” (Srimad Bhagavatam 4.12.23 Purport)
With yet another promising year bygone, BhaktiVedanta National School marches ahead in fulfilling this vision of Srila Prabhupada.
