Main stage Cultural program or evening of devotional entertainment during Gaura Purnima festival is always a favorite for festival visitors. Bhakti marg Swami's dramas have evolved as a part of festival over the years. In a very short period of time, he has encouraged and trained Mayapur youth to put up a sensational performance, 'Kunti & Karna'. Drama chronicles on the mixed emotions displayed by Karna and Kunti, expertly supported by apt dialogues and scenes. Drama starts with young Kunti receiving the mantra of invoking any demigod, takes on to adolescent Kunti who in a warm sunny day dared to use this mantra calling upon Sun and subsequent farewell of her new born in Ganges river. Sun dance by Mayapur community girls was choreographed in a most synchronized way with golden glowing costumes befitting the rays of the sun.

Drama moves on to Karna's encounter with Parasurama, Duryodhana crowning him as king of Anga province, marriageof Draupadi, dice game by Kurus and Pandavas, meeting of Karna with Kunti, the war, death of Karna and Kunti's Prayer to Krsna.

Lakshmipati das, who played as Karna displayed the varying emotions like dejection coupled with his gratitude for Duryodhana in a most amazing way. 'Kunti & Karna' was a two hour journey back to the age of Mahabharata.

Drama was staged twice during Gaura Purnima festival for the pleasure of devotees attending the festival.
Hats off to Mayapur Youth and HH Bhakti Marg Swami!
