Night Darshan
Our temple room was packed with devotees that were anxious to see the abhishek of the Lord, and perform abhishek of there own. The day was filled with programs to engage the devotees in keeping their minds fixed upon the activities of Sri Sri Radha-Madhava.
After a week long of glorifying our Srila Prabhupada, we had an amazing Janmastami festival, over a thousand devotees came to see the Lord and glorify him through kirtan, and abhishek. The day started with a stunning darshans for mangal arati and sringar arati. The temple room was decorated amazingly.
After sringar arati devotees from the gurukula began preparations for the performance of Krishna’s samskara’s. Various devotees were playing the different roles of Krishna, Nanda, Yashoda, and Gargacharya. The gurukula boys headed by HH Bhakti Vidya Purna Maharaj were performing the actual samskara ceremonies, including Jata Karma (Birth), Niskramanam (first outing), Nama karana (name giving), Paustika karma (nourishment), Anna prasana (first grains), Cuda karanam (hair cutting), Upanayanam (sacred thread), and finally Samavartana (graduation from gurukula).
The evening started with a sweet kirtan, followed by an amazing abhishek of Sri Sri Radha-Madhava. Our pujaris then performed a midnight arati for our Lordship’s. Everyone that was still there at that time was able to receive some of Sri Sri Radha-Madhava’s Maha-Prasadam.
